So, our beloved 'dancing pig' has been forced out of Strictly Come Dancing by the show's evil judges who clearly don't recognise the next Fred Astaire when they see him...

John Sergeant made us laugh, cry, grimace and giggle as he flung Kristina Rihanoff around the dance-floor like a black binbag full of household waste.

His ill-timed, child-like stomp was the shining light of the show for the entire nine weeks he appeared. In fact, lets be honest, he was the only reason most of us tuned in.

Now he has gone, a victim of the judges and BBC bigwigs, who were terrified he would tango his way to the title leaving more accomplished dancers in his wake.

Well here's your chance to tell the BBC to 'foxtrot oscar' - by joining our petition to have the star of the show reinstated.

Once our petition has received 50,000 signatures we will personally deliver it to the man we hold responsible - the director general of the BBC, Mark Thompson.

And if that doesn't work we'll take it to Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
